The coziest holiday market of the season is at The White Hart Inn in Salisbury CT! I’ll be there with a wide array of handprinted napkin sets, potholders, pillows, table runners, stuffies, calendars and other special holiday gift items.
The David M. Hunt Library will host a mask making workshop for all ages on Saturday, October 14th from 1:00-2:30 pm. Join local artist Meg Musgrove as we explore mask traditions from around the globe and create your own mask masterpiece from paper and cardboard. Templates and an array of pre-cut components will be provided, all you need to bring is your imagination. All levels of ability and inspiration are welcome and adult hands will be needed to help others achieve their visions! 3 days of play and skill-building, focused on the creation of costumes and masks.
Kids will have access to a wide range of materials and can explore collage, printmaking, building with cardboard, papier-mâché, basic sewing and beyond. We’ll look at masks from around the world, and also find inspiration from some of our favorite artists.
Parents are welcome to join or drop off.
Class meets 10-2 T/W/Th and kids are asked to bring lunch.

This 3-hr workshop will arm you with the knowledge and materials you need to begin your own printmaking journey. Whether you want to make abstract prints on paper or print text onto t-shirts, you’ll go home knowing how to do it. Participants will create their own stencil on a reusable screen and use water-based inks to explore fundamental printmaking techniques. Workshop fee includes your own screen, squeegee, and stencil medium. We will provide both paper and fabric substrates for printing, but you are also welcome to bring anything you would like to print on.

Participants will be provided with blank notecards, envelopes and gift tags for printing with water-based inks. Make your own stamps or use pre-cut shapes to create amazingly personal tokens of your affection.
